It was created to help me keep track of the dragonfly species I have photographed. It grew from there.

 

All identifications are tentative.

Identifying species from photographs can be difficult, if not impossible. Some species are only safely identified by close examination of specimens. As this site progressed I have learned a lot and I have changed many of my identifications. I hope to continue to learn from maintaining this site and I hope you benefit from it too.
